It has a unique three-in-one action that combines the active ingredients Lidocaine, Amylmetacresol, and Dichlorbenzylalkohol to provide quick relief from pain and have antibacterial and antiviral properties.

The active ingredients in Locastad against sore throat are Lidocaine hydrochlorid (2 mg), Lidocaine (1.73 mg), 2,4-Dichlorbenzylalkohol (1.2 mg), Amylmetacresol (0.6 mg), Chinolingelb (a helping substance), Gelborange S (a helping substance), Glucose Sirup (1.016 g, helping substance), Minzöl (1.5 mg, helping substance), Saccharin, Natriumsalz (a helping substance), Saccharose (1.495 g, helping substance), Weinsäure (a helping substance), Honig Aroma (a helping substance), and Zitronen Aroma (a helping substance).

Before taking Locastad against sore throat, inform your doctor if you are asthmatic, if your symptoms do not improve within 2 days, or if you have fever, headaches, nausea, vomiting, or skin rashes. The anesthetic in this medication can cause you to choke while eating (coughing while eating or a choking sensation), so it's important not to eat or drink right after using the medication. It can also cause numbness in the tongue, increasing the risk of biting yourself, so be careful when eating and drinking hot foods and drinks.

Using this medication for longer than five days is not recommended, as it can alter the microbial balance of the mouth and throat. Overdosing or using this medication for longer than recommended can affect the heart or nervous system and cause seizures. Older or frail patients should consult their doctor before using this medication, and it should not be used if you have acute larger wounds in the mouth and throat area.
