Mykofungin® 3 Kombi is a medication used to treat vaginal fungal infections. It contains the active ingredient Clotrimazole, which inhibits the growth and multiplication of fungal cells. It is used to treat infectious discharge caused by yeast fungi, inflammation of the vagina and labia caused by fungi, and superinfections with bacteria sensitive to Clotrimazole. The medication is available in the form of vaginal tablets and cream. For the vaginal tablets, one tablet is inserted deep into the vagina once daily for three consecutive days. It is best to do this in a lying position with slightly raised legs. The cream is applied 2-3 times daily to the affected areas of the outer genitalia and nearby areas. The applicator is used to insert the vaginal tablet into the vagina. The tablet is placed in the applicator, which is then gently inserted into the vagina. The tablet is released by pressing the applicator's plunger. It is important to remain lying down for 10-15 minutes to allow the medication to distribute well in the vagina. The applicator can be reused but should be thoroughly cleaned after each use. If a dry vagina prevents the tablet from fully dissolving, resulting in solid particles being expelled, alternative products such as vaginal cream can be used. The duration of treatment with vaginal tablets is generally three days, but a second treatment of three days may be necessary if needed. The medication should be stored out of reach of children and should not be used after the expiration date. The cream does not require special storage conditions and is usable for six months after opening.
