Amorolfin acis 50 mg/ml is a nail lacquer used for the treatment of nail fungus caused by dermatophytes and yeasts, affecting up to 80% of the nail. The active ingredient, Amorolfin, is an antifungal agent that penetrates into and under the nail plate, inhibiting the growth of the fungus and improving the appearance of the nails. The lacquer is applied once a week on the affected nails until the nails have grown out and appear healthy. Before the first application, the affected parts of the nails should be filed down. The lacquer should be applied evenly using the provided reusable spatula and the nails should be allowed to dry for 10 minutes. Cosmetic nail polish can be applied once the lacquer is dry. The treatment should be continued once a week for a duration of at least 6 months for fingernails and 9-12 months for toenails. The lacquer should be stored below 30°C and away from children. It contains ethanol and should not be used near flames or heat sources. Common side effects are rare but should be reported to a doctor or pharmacist. The lacquer is not recommended for children and teenagers under 18 years of age. It should be used with caution in individuals with diabetes, circulation problems, or weakened immune systems.
